Menu update for family x-mas. In keeping with the past something good and simple that people can eat whenever. Uncle John plans to cook Nana and Papaw's famous Ham and Beans this year. Auntie "M" is in charge of the fudge. Looking for some pie makers. Aunt Cindy is planning a Sunday breakfast casarole and her awesome bisquits and sausage gravey. Like Aunt Barbara said, plan on staying and making Mr. Jackson's first x-mas a blast. Along with Aunt Barbara, we also have room at the Inn, the flag room spoken for by Aunt Cindy's mom Norma joining us this year, but we have the Murpy bed, couch bed, basement bed, and three couchs are available. Rawlings Family Christmas

I just want to let you all know, I have some room at the INN for Christmas. I have two empty bedrooms available with double beds and extra couch space too. First come first serve! Sherry has her room spoken for already of course, but there are two left! Please everyone come and make this a great 1st Christmas with Jackson!

Ft Hood

I am so saddened by this terrible shooting. Our men and women accept the dangers of protecting us and this great country, never realizing that it is so dangerous right here in their own home base. While I was listening to this unfold, I heard they were calling police and swat, and the thought that went through my head was 'this is a huge base with many well trained soldiers, why can't they get a sniper to take the shooter out, why do they need to wait for outside sources.' Then I find out the shooter is military, not some outsider, but one of their own that they know and work with and trusted.
I wonder, when these men and women deploy, how will they trust the soldier next to them after this?
